JOB SUMMARY
The Graduate Dashboard Developer is responsible for design and delivery of data integration projects from a variety of sources and data visualization projects delivered in Tableau Desktop. These visualizations are to be used to drive Digicel's Voice & Data by applying a thorough understanding of customer's needs and new concepts to data products feature definition and development. This role works as part of the Insight & Commercial Analysis team to improve user experience by considering the user's perspective with regard to features, functionality, and interface.
 
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  1. Analyzing the use of data and interpreting data directly against goals and procedures of a company in a way that provides unambiguous results.
  2. Guaranteeing the accuracy and accessibility of all valuable data.
  3. Functioning as an interpreter or an intermediary, identifying data needs of a particular group and explaining the importance and use of the data applicable to them.
  4. Developing, maintaining, and communicating data architecture plans to all stakeholders for alignment of people, business process, information, and technology
  5. Overseeing the design, assessment, selection, application, and maintenance of major databases and metadata structures.
  6. Providing technical recommendations to senior managers and technical staff in the development and implementation of data-related standards.
  7. Determining the logical design characteristics and information management strategies necessary to store, move, and manage data.
  8. Gathering, documenting, and designing data integration and data visualization requirements for projects ranging from small to enterprise size.
  9. Analyze user requirements and, based on findings, design functional specifications for BI front-end interactive visualizations
  10. Use Tableau products to rapidly generate impactful, interactive visualizations.
  11. Regularly demonstrate and implement the numerous capabilities of Tableau Desktop, such as multi-source dashboards, data blending, table calculations, advanced calculated fields, advanced statistical analysis, guided analytics, custom geocoding, etc.
  12. Generate Tableau dashboards that take into account performance implications of dashboard design decisions on underlying data sources.
  13. Extract, transform, and load data from an extremely wide field of data sources into staging datasets and ultimately into Tableau dashboards.
  14. Espousing and keeping current with data visualization best practices.
  15. Providing implementation and training services for resulting data integration and visualization projects to variety business users (example: end users, managers, clients, and other stakeholders).
  16. Assess and cultivate long-term strategic goals for BI development in conjunction with Utilize analytics tools to provide actionable insights/results on various activities
  17. Maintaining expertise in skills related to dashboard production, such as demographics, geolocation/geocoding, data enhancement, etc.
  18. Continuously seeks and capitalizes on opportunities to exceed the expectations of customers (internal and external) by placing a keen interest on understanding and effectively resolving customer-impacting issues in a professional and result-oriented manner.
  19. Identify other initiatives that exist and ensure that efforts are not duplicated.
  20. Makes recommendations or improvements to Key Process Indicators and methodologies.
  21. Assist with the interpretation of user requirements into feasible options, and communicating these back to the business stakeholders.
  22. Knowledge of all company BI applications and reports to determine if requests can be satisfied with existing materials
  23. Liaise with BI customers and stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  24. Participate in BI project post mortems in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  25. Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements- verbally or through written documentation - to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.
  26. Research and respond to internal customer questions.
  27. Work pro-actively on issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
  28. Identify and manage BI dependencies and critical path.
  29. Proactively adjust to changes in BI project request, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  30. Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of all BI initiatives.
  31. Design and implement enterprise reporting and business intelligence solutions
  32. Maintain business relationship between Digicel and other carrier service

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree AND related certification OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in and with the mobile telecommunications sector would be considered a valuable asset.
  • An acceptable combination of academic qualifications and work experience may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements.
 
LANGUAGE SKILLS AND REASONANING ABILITY:
  • Knowledge of a second language (Spanish, French, etc) would be considered a valuable asset.
