We invite applications for a new Digicel Opportunity - Finance Manager
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Manager's primary role is to:
- Prepare monthly management accounts in a timely and accurate manner for review by Financial Controller.
- Manage the Finance team
- Ensure timely completion of month end file and strict adherence to month end timetables.
- Support Financial Controller when required with ad-hoc reports, reporting to Board of Directors.
Duties & Responsibilities
Management responsibilities:-
- Management of the Finance team including resource planning, delegation of duties, performance management, progress feedback and staff reviews.
- Co-ordinating the production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts in accordance with GAAP, Group standards and deadlines.
- Assist in the presentation of monthly board material, including ARPU and Revenue Analysis, Expense analysis and comparison of performance against budget
- Ensure the development and ongoing existence of strong internal controls, and compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Preparation of ad-hoc Management and Shareholder reports.
- Managing the annual audit.
- Daily monitoring of Treasury functions.
Other:-
- Accurately review Revenue for the business, ensuring reasonableness in the determination of that revenue.
- Review and monitor the underlying controls/ sub-system interface to ensure accuracy in balances shown in the general ledger.
- Review and approve critical transactions processes before posting to general ledger:-
- Direct Costs
- Non-airtime charges
- Deferrals and Prepayments
- Approve all general Journals.
- Manage the SAC costing and monitoring process, providing support to the sales management on the evaluation of promotional events and offers.
General Responsibilities:-
- Assist in the preparation of data for Ad-hoc Management and Shareholders' reports.
- Assist with the annual audit.
- Completion of the month-end routines within the required reporting period.
- Provide back-up support for other team members.
- Perform any other tasks that may periodically be assigned by the Financial Controller.
Qualifications & Experience
- Primary Degree coupled with a recognized international accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CGA).
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar position;
- Telecommunications experience is highly desirable
- Advanced Excel/ Modelling skills
