Factory/Production Manager

Our Client, a leading glass and aluminum manufacturing company, is seeking to fill the role of Factory/Production Manager to drive continuous improvement and optimization of all production processes.  The successful candidate will oversee all daily operations from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed on the factory floor.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, direct and run day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations
  • Increase production, while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
  • Responsible for production output, product quality and on-time delivery
  • Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions as necessary
  • Manage factory employees while sharing a trusting relationship with workgroup
  • Address employees’ issues or grievances
  • Collect and analyse data to find places of waste or overtime
  • Commit to factory industry safety procedures
  • Develop systems and procedures that track and optimize productivity and standards
  • Stay abreast with latest production management best practices and concepts

Experience Required:

  • Proven managerial experience in a manufacturing/factory environment
  • Adequate knowledge of business and management principles
  • Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
  • Knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, in particular Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Proven ability to create accountability and to lead by example
  • Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
Must be able to work on Saturdays.

Salary Range:    

TT$10,000 - $12,000 depending on experience

Enrollment in company’s health and pension plans on completion of probationary period (6 months)
