Department: Facilities Maintenance Services

Reports to: Senior Facility Technician

Job Objectives

Performs electrical, plumbing, HVAC, civil maintenance, repair, installation and give general assistance when needed.

Principal Duties and Functions

• Install, maintain and repair electrical systems.
• Clean, service, troubleshoot and repair all AC units daily.
• Install, repair and maintain HVAC system.
• Repair toilets and waste-line pipes as required.
• Clean and maintain sewer lines as required.
• Complete Work Order forms after jobs are completed and submit to Supervisor daily.
• Monitor utilities of facility water, electrical etc.
• Perform masonry, carpentry and other building construction works.
• Generate list of material and labour required for tasks.
• Perform other duties as required by the job function.

Key Deliverables

• Ensure there is adequate and proper functioning lighting in facility.
• Wires properly installed for electrical circuits and panels daily.
• 100% operational A/C units.
• Properly maintained HVAC system.
• Toilets, waste-line pipes and sewer lines repaired as required.
• Complete Work Order forms submitted to Supervisor ½ hr (30 mins) prior to end of shift.
• General Qualification Requirements

Education

National Technician’s Certificate in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Electrical or Mechanical Theory and practice from a recognized institution

Experience

Minimum: Three (3) years experience in the installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, plumbing and air conditioning systems and equipment.

A combination of education and experience will be considered as qualifying competence for the position, where employees already employed do not achieve minimum requirements.
