Experience/Qualifications
Technical | Technical qualifications in Electrical discipline to a minimum of BTEC diploma or equivalent. Electrical specialisation should possess 16th edition IEE qualification, will be required to qualify as site High Voltage Approved Person. Wireman’s License would be an asset. OR HVAC/Air Conditioning qualifications, BTEC diploma or equivalent, Facilities Maintenance Certification and/or experience. MEEET or EEET certification with HVAC certification and experience. |
CXC | 5 O’Levels including Maths, English at grade III or above |
IT | Basic computer literacy, use of word processing and spreadsheets |
Job Objective:
To provide technical support to the Facilities Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the Client site.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring good communication between the Servus, the Client and sub-contractors.
- Reacting swiftly to any situation that threatens the Clients core business activities.
- Ensuring work is carried out in accordance with current procedures and prepare reports to the Facilities Manager of any problems.
- Reporting any hazardous activities, incidents etc.
- Supervise subcontractors on site as agreed with the Facilities Manager.
- Ensuring the safety and security of hand tools, power tools, test equipment / meters, safety equipment and reporting defects or losses to the Facilities Manager.
- Ensuring the procedure for major breakdown reporting is adhered to.
- On call for emergency situations or works outside of normal working hours as required.
