Facilities Maintenance Coordinator
(1 Year Contract)
Location: Pt Lisas, Couva

This position reports to the Engineering & Maintenance Superintendent.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate is responsible for the day-to-day management of all grounds, buildings, facilities and associated infrastructure ensuring adherence to sound engineering and maintenance practices, health/environmental and safety
standards as well as established Company policies and procedures.
He/She shall seeks ways to sustain the maintenance of the facilities, evaluate the performance of contractors and to implement budget and cost control measures.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Passes in at least five (5) CXC, CSCE subjects inclusive of Mathematics and English Language
- Diploma in Facilities Maintenance, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical and Electronic Engineering
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in facilities maintenance
- Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Maintenance Activities:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently, use good judgment and make sound decisions in accordance with the company’s established procedures and policies
- Knowledge of PSM requirements as it applies to non-plant assets
- Demonstrated knowledge of methods, materials and techniques used in the construction, maintenance and repair of buildings and facilities
- Demonstrated knowledge of methods, practices and techniques used in the painting of buildings, carpentry, plumbing and other building maintenance related trades
- Knowledge of applicable building, mechanical, fire, plumbing, health and safety codes
- Knowledge of telecommunication and wireless equipment
- Knowledge of maintenance of air-conditioning, ducts and air-handling systems
- Knowledge of safety regulations, practices and procedures
- Record keeping and report writing techniques
- Ability to prepare work orders, work scopes, reports and financial justifications for non-plant projects
- Ability to handle multiple deadlines and multiple projects
- Ability to read and interpret building plot plans, blue prints and work specifications
- Ability to estimate materials, equipment and labour costs
- Knowledge of PSM and ISO 9000:2000 requirements
- Possess strong supervisory skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills – able to communicate and represent issues effectively
- Demonstrated knowledge of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application and Microsoft Office Suite
Salary Range: $8K – $10K per month plus Group health and Life Benefits
