Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails
- Cold calling to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business
- Responding to incoming email and phone enquiries
- Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales
- Gathering market and customer information
- Challenging any objections with a view to getting the customer to buy
- Advising on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions
- Liaising with internal teams to check the progress of existing orders
- Recording sales and order information accurately
- Making accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations
- Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets
- Attending team meetings and sharing best practice with colleagues
- Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential
- Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints
- Coordinates sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups
- Plans and organizes personal sales strategies to achieve assigned goals and targets
- Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with immediate management team, marketing and technical service group
- Participates in events, road shows, trade shows and conventions and other sales channels when required
- Assist with customers' requests for direct contact resigns and query assistance.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with customers.
- Manage the duration of all calls, recognize and manage assertive customer calls.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 5 CXC/GCE O 'levels (including Mathematics and English Language)
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of the Internet
- Previous sales experience, with demonstrated success is an asset
- Previous experience in a customer service environment is an asset
