JOB SUMMARY
The FTTH Project Manager - MDU (Multi Dwelling Unit) is responsible for the identification, survey, design, build, handover and acceptance of last mile FTTH access networks in MDU (multi dwelling unit) buildings also known as the inside plant. This Manager is required to lead a team of MDU planners as well as subcontractors to execute deliverables for the business. It involves managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. It also requires strong interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.
MAIN RESPONSIBILTIES
- Management: Lead, manage and build teams to deploy the last mile of the FTTH footprint to MDUs (Multi Dwelling Units) in Trinidad & Tobago
- Contractor Management: Solicit contractors and manage requirements for delivery of MDU installs. Establish scalable tools and processes that monitor contractor performance including quality control, appropriate forecasting of building resources, billing against budget, and contract. Work with and communicate progress to internal stakeholders and ensure that projects are scoped properly and handed off seamlessly for network deployment.
- Site Delivery: Manage program goals, scope, schedules, budget, contracts and vendor resources to ensure timelines and production costs are aligned. Implement and manage QA/QC, risk register and action items. Report production and quality metrics with informative analysis on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Building Designs: Be able to create designs for internal building cabling that's aesthetically pleasing for the client and meet's expectations
- Cross Functional Teams: Work closely with OSP, Sales, ICT, Customer Service in coordinating project activities to meet business goals.
- Procurement: Work with product suppliers to ensure material quantities are met and design and installs are completed in accordance with set design specifications.
- GIS Integration: Ensure full details of expanded OSP network is integrated properly and accurately into GIS
- Risk Management: Perform risk management to mitigate delays and any other impact to expansion needs
- Service Delivery Support: Support service delivery and customer segments upon MDU completion

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS- BSc in Engineering or equivalent
- PMP certification would be an asset
- Minimum of 5 years in the telecommunications industry with knowledge of fixed networks and in particular FTTH
- Minimum of 3 years familiarity with all types of outside plant construction and experience managing large capital projects including electrical and civil works
- Minimum of 3 years managing high performance teams
- In depth knowledge of in building structured cabling
- Must be able to understand and read construction documents
- Experience in developing and scaling processes for new business/start-up
- Proven negotiation skills

- Solid organization skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking
- Vendor management skills
- Proficiency with Email, MS Excel, Word, Google Earth, GIS and AutoCAD
