Supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), if selected, IYF will manage the Barbados and Eastern Caribbean At-Risk Youth Program to address challenges facing at-risk and marginalized youth in the region. These challenges include, but are not limited to, vulnerable backgrounds and environments, poor education, high unemployment, a fractured juvenile justice system, and increasing crime and gang violence. IYF’s program approach will build from its USAID-funded Caribbean Youth Empowerment Program and expand further to target at-risk youth by providing training and job placement services, preparing them for the world of work and promoting youth to serve as positive change agents in their communities.
JOB SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of this position will be accounting/financial management and office administration of an anticipated Barbados and Eastern Caribbean office under the technical supervision of the Director, Field Office Finance & Administration and daily oversight of the Chief of Party or Country Director based in the Eastern Caribbean. The Finance and Administration Manager will be responsible for overseeing the administrative and financial management, accountability requirements and human resources management of the office for this anticipated youth workforce development program. This position must assure the contractual integrity of all agreements entered into by the office, managing the procurement process and looking out for the interests of the organization. The Manager will provide technical assistance to staff in implementing and complying with financial and administrative procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and serve as the financial liaison to the organization, local NGOs, other implementing partners and implementing units. This position is a local hire position and Caribbean nationals are encouraged to apply.

Technical supervision and oversight of finance, accounting and administration duties will be provided by the Director, Field Office Finance & Administration. Daily oversight will be provided by the Chief of Party or Country Director based in the Eastern Caribbean region (exact location TBD).

LOCATION
This position will be based in the Eastern Caribbean (exact location TBD) and will require a moderate amount of travel throughout the region.
