FIELD OFFICER – ACADEMY OF SPORTS AND LEISURE STUDIES

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Encourages and engages communities in sporting and recreational activities on campus;
Incorporates the University and the community in competitive and recreational sport programmes;
Arranges and maintains intercommunity and campus competitions;
Liaises with the relevant sporting associations in the communities;
Develops and works with communities in creating innovative approaches to sustain recreation programmes
Performs other related duties.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Administration or related field
Minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience
COMPETENCIES
Proven competence in organising sporting, health and fitness activities.
Strong teamwork and cooperation skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to use initiative and independent judgment to achieve assigned responsibilities.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of the University's and Unit’s business/environment
Knowledge of first aid techniques
