External Sales Representative

The External Sales Representative will be responsible for promoting sales of the Company’s product lines in new and existing markets, while representing the company and promoting its interests and providing the highest level of customer service.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Achieve monthly sales target via - communication, on a continuous basis with existing customers and inquiries to service and support additional customers. 
  • Marketing – address inquires in a prompt and polite manner with all information documented and followed up by quotation.
     
  • Customer Quotations – ensure that quotations are followed up and results reported to Sales Manager within one week of submission. 
  • Submission of Prices – ensure that pricing issues falls within established guidelines. 
  • Local Purchases for Resale – ensure that local purchases adhere to established guidelines and are necessary for customer retention / satisfaction.
     
  • Reporting – ensure submission of relevant reports are done within established timelines and any follow-up additional information is presented to management upon request. 
  • Customer Deliveries – ensure that the necessary information is available in order to dispatch all deliveries each morning by 9.00 am and consistent with customer receiving procedures. 
  • Co-ordination of Sales Activities in Internal Sales Department - Effectively co-ordinate all activities of internal Sales Department and report all discrepancies immediately to Sales Manager. 
  • Management of Receivables – Ensure that all invoices for payment are submitted to customers no later than 4 working days after delivery and customer account balances must not exceed 60 days.

 Requirements

  • Minimum five CXC passes inclusive of Mathematics and English Language advance Level Proficiency
  • Must possess own vehicle and valid Driver’s permit
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must possess excellent  negotiation skills
  • Proven track record with building and expanding sales.
  • At least three (3) years’s experience in a sales / marketing environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent work ethic.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) would be an asset
