Engineering Technologist

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

 

-      Designing distribution system extensions and upgrades to provide or enhance service to both new and existing customers. Designs must conform to documented CUC service and construction standards and provide the most economical design solution within these standards.  Designs are produced utilising electronic drafting design tools to specific standards;

-      Preparing Contribution in Aid of Construction (CIAC) requirements for residential and commercial customers as per established guidelines. This will involve the coordination of customer correspondence and interaction regarding the requirements to provide service;

-      Reviewing and processing the application of third parties for the attachment of cables within the communication space of support structures. This will involve the review of design parameters, present and future support structure capacity requirements and any “make ready” work;

 

 Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

-      Applicants should be a graduate of an accredited three year Electrical Technology programme with a minimum of three years’ experience in the electric utility industry.

 

Salary:

Salary is from US$60,042 to US$75,285 per annum.
