ENTERPRISE ENGINEER
Purpose
The successful candidate will serve as a member of the Implementation and Support Services Team with responsibility for incidents related to onsite hardware and software technical and maintenance support to external clients and bringing those incidents to resolution. Additional responsibilities may include the design, integration, testing, implementation, development and maintenance of customer-related systems and solutions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Deliver remote break-fix, maintenance and operational services to clients in line with agreed SLA specifications and international best practices
Implement servers, storage and network solutions at large enterprise data center complexes
Provide remote troubleshooting and diagnostic services to bring customer problems to resolution
Prepare and manage documentation of IT solutions and changes to existing IT solutions including writing technical and incident reports
Effect rapid problem resolution, minimize issue escalation situations, and proactively escalate issues
Any other duties that may be assigned by management team including special projects
The successful candidate must:
Possess three (3) to five (5) years related work experience in a progressive, fast paced IT environment
Have experience conducting technology audits and reviews
Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively and to organise workload and priorities in a fast paced environment
Own and use personal vehicle for site visits as may be required
Possess clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
Work effectively as part of a team as well as independently
Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and quality.
N.B. Regional and/or international travel may be required for customer site visits and/or training
Key Qualifications
A degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
Training in technical aspects of information system technology as evidenced by relevant certification (e.g., CCNA, A+, Network +, Structured Cabling, MCSE etc)
Working knowledge of current operating systems (Windows, UNIX, Linux) and computer platforms (Intel/AMD/x86, SPARC systems)
