Dominica Agricultural Industrial Development Bank

The Dominica Agricultural and Industrial Development Bank (DAIDB), popularly known as the AID Bank, was incorporated by an Act of Parliament in 1971.

 

The AID Bank’s mandate is to promote and influence economic development in the Commonwealth of Dominica and to mobilise funds for the purpose of such development.

 

 AID Bank, the ONLY development bank in Dominica, provides loans for the productive sectors and social sectors.  The former comprises agriculture (and fisheries), industry (inclusive of manufacturing, services and transportation),infrastructure and tourism, while the latter refers to education and housing. The Bank also owns and manages industrial estates, in Canfield, Geneva and Picard, which provides space for a diverse number of business operations.
