Director of Human Resources

The Human Resource Division of Kittitian Hill develops policy, directs and coordinates human resources activities, such as employment, compensation, labour relations, benefits, training, and team member services in alignment with the organization’s vision, mission and values. All work is performed safely, efficiently and courteously.

We now seek to recruit a Director of Human Resources to provide strategic leadership and direction on all aspects of the team member experience that impacts our organisation’s business performance, across several operational areas including but not limited to hospitality and farm operations, construction, and community activities.

He/she partners with the leadership team and department managers to create and support Kittitian Hill’s strategy, ensure the organisation is hiring and training for the best talent and enable team members to be successful in assisting our owners and guests.  He/she will recruit the HR Team and provide daily oversight.

Essential qualifications and skills

• BA degree in HR or related field.
• 7 – 10 years or more of progressive HR management experience in the hotel/resort industry, preferably in the English speaking Caribbean
• Proven success overseeing the HR function of a full-scale hotel or resort. 
• A minimum of 7 years of successful supervisory experience of recruiting, developing and overseeing HR team including a strong training component. 
• Hands on hospitality training experience over at least 2 years
• CIPD, PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel. Outlook and/or Google Mail
• Experience with initiating and managing various payroll and HRMS systems
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.
• Strong organizational management and problem solving skills.
