UNICOMER (Barbados) Limited is seeking to recruit an experienced, high calibre finance professional with strong leadership credentials to join its executive team.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Director of Finance will oversee the accounting and financial functions of the overall operation, assessing the accuracy and integrity of data before issuance internally and externally.
The incumbent will also have responsibility for recognizing business performance gaps and opportunities partnering with line managers to implement strategies that yield better results in revenue and profit margin.
The Ideal Candidate Will

- Be able to implement effective internal controls and risk management practices including measuring and controlling risk to acceptable levels or company/group standards.
- Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive annual business plan which is aligned with the company's strategic
direction.
- Demonstrated customer focus; balancing customer needs with internal cost and resource constraints in the allocation of the organization’s resources.
Minimum Qualification, Skill & Experience:-
- Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
- CPA, ACCA or equivalent with demonstrated understanding of GAAP, IFRS and Tax Laws.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within a medium to large retail/commercial operation and must have the experience in the development and execution of strategic plans.
- Solid level of proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office as well as experience with accounting systems such as Oracle; Knowledge of Fact 2000 and COSACS would be an asset, but is not a requirement.
- Understanding of global cash management, consumer finance, and global and local economic analysis
- Strong financial management, budget preparation and forecasting skills.
- Good report writing and presentation skills.
