Our ChairmaniChiefExecutive Officer Mr. Derrick Cotterell resigned his position in 1998 at one of Jamaica's leading distributing companies, Grace Kennedy to follow his dream of making a mark on the business landscape of Jamaica. Derrimon Trading Co. Limited (Derrimon) started out distributing everyday consumer items to various supermarkets and wholesalers in the Kingston area. Over the years, the range of products vastly increased, with the company now showcasing a wealth of commodities and food supplies. Derrimon has flourished into one of the largest distribution companies having attained billion dollar contracts with large distribution and manufacturing companies worldwide. It currently boasts being the number one distributor of Nestle in Jamaica, which happens to be the largest food company in the world. The company has always been willing to embark on new ideas and creative ways of increasing their bottom line. In 2002 Derrimon ventured away from its core market of distributing food items, and delved into the market of Stationary and Office Supplies. This has proven to be quite lucrative and has brought Derrimon increased income and a growing name in the stationary market.

Derrimon acquired Sampars Cash & Carry, one of the longest running wholesales in Jamaica with over 22,000 sq feet of shopping space in 2009. Sampars was originally owned by Grace Kennedy as a direct outlet to distribute its products on the retail market. Derrimon has financially achieved milestones, by toping revenue figures year to year, with over 1.5 billion in sales in 2009. Sales projections indicate reaching the 3 billion dollar revenue mark by the end of 2010. This constant growth pattern will continue to be the objective of the company as it further strengthens itself in the market.
