Database Administrator

Job Summary: 

A Database Administrator (DBA) will be responsible for the performance, integrity and security of a database.  Duties also include planning, development and troubleshooting. Work involves maintaining data standards, including adherence
to the Data Protection Act. Writes database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata).

Required Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: 

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in development of Relational databases
  (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in database management systems (DBMS)
  administration maintenance, database design, analysis and management.
• A minimum two (2) years’ experience with a medium to large database environment.
• Proficient in the use of backup technologies.
• A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in related field.
