The successful candidate must be a reliable self-starter with the ability to work autonomously, demonstrates initiative, maintains confidentiality and takes pride in their work. The Database Administrator is responsible for the administration, utilization and optimization of all Company used databases such as Oracle relational databases, MS-SQL relational databases, IDMS network databases and specialized file organization and access methods used by the Company. He/she manages the definition, security, integrity, operational efficiency and overall use of database resources.He/She would be required to institute maintenance plans, establish and set up backup procedures, advise on database server configurations and document the Company’s Database Environment.

  Requirements  

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or the equivalent combination of education, technical training

• At least 5 years work experience

• Proficiency in a vendor implementation ;  specifically SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres

• Experience in instituting Maintenance Plan and developing SQL queries.
