Darkroom Technician

To provide assistance in the production of quality Radiographic material for the purpose of achieving accurate patient diagnoses so as to ensure a high quality of health care.

JOB SUMMARY

To provide assistance in the production of quality Radiographic material for the purpose of achieving accurate patient diagnoses so as to ensure a high quality of health care.

KEY FUNCTIONS

•  Processing of X-ray film

   

• Mixing of chemical solutions and chemical processors in compliance with stipulated guidelines

   

• Maintaining, cleaning and servicing of all equipment and related accessories

   

• Ensuring compliance with quality control guidelines

•  General administration, management and monitoring of film inventory and related supplies

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

• Technician’s Diploma in Dark Room Technology / X-ray Technology or a related field.

• Certification in the repair and maintenance of X-ray / Dark Room systems and equipment together.

• At least three (3) years’ post qualification and experience in a similar or related job function
