J&K Signature Styles a women’s clothing retail chain is seeking to recruit a qualified person to fill the position of Customer Service specialist at their Port-of-Spain, Grand Bazaar and Gulf City Branches.
1. JOB FUNCTION
The Customer Service Specialist is a highly motivated, focused, and reliable individual responsible for delivering exceptional customer engagement experiences and selling merchandise.
2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
CUSTOMER FOCUS - SUPPORTS A STORE ENVIRONMENT THAT IS CONSISTENTLY FOCUSED ON DELIVERING EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT EXPERIENCES
- Supports a consistent focus in delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Adheres to Customer Experience Standards
- Initiates required action or response to customer service concerns/issues and follows-up on customers’ outstanding issues in a timely fashion.
- Maintains in-depth product knowledge and remains up-to-date on what is current in the fashion industry.
SALES EXCELLENCE – SUPPORTS COMPANY FINANCIAL GOALS BY MEETING AND EXCEEDING SALES PERFORMANCE METRICS SET BY THE COMPANY
- Meets and surpasses individual sales targets and sales metrics set by the company
- Achieves and maintains ongoing certification in the company’s sales and customer service training programmes.
- Effectively utilizes sales training when assisting customers
MERCHANDISE EXCELLENCE – CLEARLY AND CONSISTENTLY REPRESENT MERCHANDISING PRINCIPLES:
- Ensures Merchandising Standards are maintained
- Assists with floor sets, window changes, signage placement, and visual standards including sizing, folding, and straightening merchandise.
- Assist with receiving and replenishment of merchandise
OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE – SUPPORT COMPANY GOALS AND INITIATIVES
- Ensures Operational Standards are maintained
- Operate cash register and follow all cash handling procedures per company guidelines
- Assist with opening and closing duties as directed
- Follows loss prevention procedures to ensure a safe environment and to protect company assets
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by checking and clearing changing rooms, sorting and re-hanging merchandise, and assisting with maintaining the general cleanliness of the store.
- Participates in stock intake process, counts, sorts, tags, arrange and price items according to pre-determined standards and requirements.
- Supports the development and maintenance of a team environment by performing other related duties
3. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Five GCE /CXC O’Level subjects, including Mathematics and English language.
- 2 years of experience in a similar position.
- Availability for varied weekly shifts, including weekend, closing, and holiday shifts
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Quick and adaptable learner.
- Demonstrated sales accountability
- Computer literacy
- Works well with others to accomplish tasks, solve problems and achieve goals
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, inclusive of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
- Strong interpersonal and active listening skills as well as the ability to interact effectively and build solid relationships with both clients and colleagues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Base salary: $4,000 monthly;
- Monthly Commission when sales targets are achieved
- Overtime pay provided
