The incumbent will be required to function as an analyst for the various managers in the Unit and is also responsible for a portfolio of accounts.

Job Summary

The incumbent will be required to function as an analyst for the various managers in the Unit and is also responsible for a portfolio of accounts.

 Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyse information relevant to credit requests.

  • Perform in depth financial and credit analysis for credit applications and prepare the relevant proposal for approval within the standard timeframe set.

  • Complete credit reviews on behalf of the Account Managers.

  • Prepare Offer Letters and Availment Tickets for Account Managers.

  • Monitor arrears on overdrafts and loans on behalf of Account Managers.

  • Follow-up on requests from both internal and external sources, such as, Branch, Units, Attorneys, Valuators and other banks.

  • Address customer inquiries/complaints/requests on all assigned accounts.

  • Interact with customers and perform site visits in executing management of portfolio.

  • Monitor collections for delinquent accounts.

  • Complete CCMR account forms and Quarterly Impairment Reports.

  • Engage in the marketing of new loans and deposits.

  • Advise customers on loan facilities to meet their needs.

  • Review overdraft management report and return cheques.

  • Complete special projects and other delegated activities that may be assigned by the Manager – Corporate Banking Unit.

  • Assist in performing Call-Backs for the confirmation of payment transactions for CBU customers.

     

    Qualifications and Experience

    Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting or a related business field from a reputable University and at least three (3) years banking experience in credit. The ideal candidate should possess good communication, interpersonal, analytical, marketing and computer literacy skills. Knowledge of PROFILE as well as the ability to analyse Financial Statements would also be required.
