Contracts & Procurement Advisor

(6 month Temporary Assignment)

Responsibilities and Main Functions: 

  • Support activities concerned with basic contracts for purchase or sale of equipment, materials, products, or
    services
  • Act as liaison to facilitate tactical plans for well-defined activities and projects through development of contracting strategy and executing contracts/ frameworks
  • Examine performance requirements, delivery schedules, and estimates of costs of material,
    equipment, and production to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Examines and analyzes Purchase Requisitions for completeness and accuracy of information; contacts Demand Manager to clarify or complete information; determines method to process requisition based on organisation’s
    standard.
  • Support bid preparation, process scopes of work and specifications, progress reports, and other exhibits
    that may be required for final contract execution
  • Reviews bids for conformity with the ITT, Tender Evaluation Plan and contract requirements and determine
    acceptable/unacceptable bids.
  • Making presentations internally, and participating in external negotiations under supervision.
  • Advise Operations team of basic contractual rights and obligations and
    actions required to execute contracts and related agreements/amendments and contract status.
  • Ensure consistency of Contractual documents issued are in agreement with the company’s latest terms and
    conditions and facilitate any related communications with internal/external stakeholders
  • Track, report, and maintain the status of all related agreements during and after the negotiation process and
    coordinate with C&P Team Leads/ Principal Contracts Advisors/Legal to identify agreements requiring special approvals or that require the attention/escalation
    to the Contracts and Tender Board. (CTB)
  • Assist Demand Managers in thepreparation of submissions and recommendations to Contracts and Tenders Board
    and Process Variations
  • Ensure complete familiarization with the company’s Contracts policies and procedures, and comply with formal
    Contracts & Procurement Training schedules.
  • Expedites orders, and ensure deliveries are kept within the schedule of quoted time-frames and provide update/ feedback to Demand Managers as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Educated to first degree level or equivalent, and studying for professional C&P qualification (MCIPS,
    CPSM, MIIAPS or equivalent).
  • Fundamental knowledge and application of Contracting and Procurement Process
  • Knowledge/application  of SAP and ProCon knowledge is a benefit
  • Excellent communication skill, ability to work with and manage projects of diverse stakeholder interests
  • Makes efficient use of personal time, prioritising tasks and ensuring issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Ability to work in a change/continuous improvement environment
