We invite applications for a new Digicel Opportunity - Computer Systems Engineer
Primary objective of the job:
- Maintain and support the IT Operations of Digicel. This goal is achieved through various responsibilities shared by all the Engineers. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, such tasks as maintaining all voice systems, Windows Servers, LAN, WAN and Internet Network, Network Nodes, PC network connectivity, PC applications and printers.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Monitor and maintain connectivity to Digicel's Internet Service Provider (ISP):
2. Maintenance of Windows Servers.
3. LAN and WAN maintenance and monitoring.
4. Maintenance of Voice Equipment (i.e. PBX and ACD Systems) at Digicel Jamaica Locations.
5. Email Server Administration
6. Maintenance of an Enterprise printing solution (HP/Capella)
7. Firewall Administration (Microsoft Forefront TMG)
8. Installation, configuration and maintenance of users' PC hardware and software.
9. Server Room management.
10. Network Administration
11. Printers inclusive of external support
12. Maintain and Support a number of Microsoft applications which includes but not limited to Windows Rights Management, Exchange, SharePoint, IIS, Forefront TMG, SCCM, Blackberry, Active Synch, Active Directory, Microsoft Lync, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft CRM.
13. Maintain DFS shares for approved data

Academic qualifications and experience required for job:
- Bachelor of Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience.as a Computer Systems Engineer or related field
Functional Skills:
Working knowledge of:
- Windows 2003/2008/2012 Server Installation and Administration
- MS Exchange Server Installation and Administration
- MS Proxy Server Set up and Administration
- Check Point Firewall Installation, Configuration and Administration
- Remote Client Access Administration
- Avaya Product suite knowledge (CS1K track + call center centric applications)
- LAN and WAN Installation, configuration and Maintenance
Internal/External contacts:
Jamaica - Fujitsu Caribbean, Illuminat, Innovative corporate solutions, Dell Jamaica, IntcomeX,
Overseas - Teleprime, Nice, Avaya, Microsoft.
Working Condition:
o Currently work 8am-5pm (Mon-Fri) with a scheduled on-call (24hr) facility.
o Required to travel to remote sites to execute assigned tasks.
o Provide assistance in expertise and to other Digicel territories in the areas of email, active directory management, Addressing Security Breaches, Procurement and administering of maintenance contracts etc.
o Occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather)
o Occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts
o Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions, occasionally exposed to extreme heat (non-weather)
o Occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.
Key Performance Indicators:
o Complete assigned tickets according to the agreed Service Level Agreements.
o Production servers have a target uptime outside of planned maintenance activities.
o Availability of email service
o Availability of Digicel Active Directory
