Compliance Analyst
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced candidate to fill the position of Compliance Analyst at
JN Money Services Cayman Limited, a subsidiary of Jamaica National Building Society. The position reports to the Country Compliance Manager and is an integral part of the Group’s compliance responsibilities to protect the organization and to fulfill its regulatory requirements. The Compliance Analyst will support the day-to-day compliance efforts related to Anti Money Laundering (“AML”), Know Your Customer (“KYC”) and Customer Due Diligence for the JNBS Group. Additionally, the incumbent will research system-generated alerts derived from the automated transaction monitoring system which ingests customer and transactional information.
Key Responsibilities
Perform enhanced due diligence on customer accounts where required.
Assist in development and implementation reporting metrics and controls as assigned.
Analyze and present Suspicious Transaction and Threshold Transaction Reporting trends.
Review and analyze compliance monitoring reports and other related source documents for suspicious/unusual patterns of activity.
Assist in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Training to the Money Transfer Staff and Agents.
Assist in performing due diligence on current and prospective JNMS Cayman Ltd locations and Agents in keeping with the JNBS Group’s “Agent Due Diligence” policy, Money Laundering Regulations and Guidance Notes of the Cayman Islands.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors Degree in Management Information Systems, Criminology, Law or related discipline
At least two (2) years related experience in the Financial Services Industry, Financial Crime Investigation or Legal field with particular emphasis on Money Remittance Services
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Proficient at conducting web-based and other computerized background checks
Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (ACAMS)
Knowledge of the following would be an asset:
