The Communications and Events Specialist is primarily responsible for strengthening Nestlé Jamaica Limited’s (NJL) reputation as a leader in Nestlé Health and Wellness (NHW) through the appropriate use of various media channels, both, externally and internally, event execution and the use of highly effective communication to ensure high levels of employee engagement throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute relevant Internal and External Communication (Traditional, Digital Social Media) and Events Plan.
- Create graphic designs, articles (internal and external): Write, edit and develop videos, articles, and presentations for various platforms such as the Nest, the Corporate Website, Internal Events, and Newspapers etc.
- Community Manager for NJL Corporate sites (internet/intranet pages). Constantly monitor brand and social media sites/pages to maintain brand essence, engagement and compliance.
- Create content and ensure that it is relevant, up-to-date and promotes corporate strategy.
- Produce a wide range of accurate and high-quality internal communications materials. Supports internal communications across all divisions/functions of the Company, including corporate announcements, sales results, personnel movements, issues management, General Manager’s periodical messages, videos and special presentations.
- Strict adherence to Nestlé Corporate policy, WHO Code, Nestlé Instructions, and local legislation. Accomplish and promote the Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) policies established by the company.
- Any other related duties required by the department including support of the programs, policies and corporate/regional initiative of the company.
To be our preferred candidate, you MUST have:
- BA in Integrated Marketing Communication, Journalism or Media & Communication.
- Certificate in Graphic Design (strongly desired).
- 3 years’ experience in Communications and Events Management related positions.
- Advanced knowledge of communication tools and mass media techniques, particularly social and digital media.
- Knowledge of Event Management Knowledge of Graphic Design.
- Have the ability to convince others.
- Superior social media knowledge with profiency in programs such as Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and others as well as experience with (CMS, Microsites, Templates, Styles, Basic HTML and CSS).
To be successful in this role, the candidate must have strong work ethic, be detail oriented with a demonstrated ability to deliver results. S/he will also possess excellent planning, creativity, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
