Commercial Development Manager

Primary objective of the job:
  • Achieve Monthly Revenue targets;
  • Create and develop new ideas for future services and improve on existing ones;
  • Work with clients (Digicel or 3rd party) to assess service requirements, and identify and implement viable solutions to meet requirements;
  • Drive innovation within Digicel and find new and innovative ways to drive incremental revenue
  • Main point of contact for new business for NewCom
  • Troubleshoot and resolve service affecting issues for customers.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Drive and achieve revenue targets across NewCom group outside of El Salvador and Haiti
  • Develop business opportunities to drive revenue targets
  • Help to develop company plans and business strategies.
  • Manage company profitability in accordance with company's product margin goals by working closely with relevant internal and external teams (i.e. Digicel; 3rd party providers etc.) to drive target achievement.
  • Actively implement new service offerings for launch based on target audience, current service offerings and performance of current and past services.
  • Help to identify and monitor known operational risks; overseeing steps to mitigate them and devising actions plans to tackle them if they ever become real issues.
  • Work with clients (Digicel or 3rd party) to assess product requirements, and propose and implement viable solutions.
  • Work with VAS business manager to develop relevant value added services.
  • Work with group operations to ensure all operational duties are completed.
  • Work with Technical team to ensure timely delivery of product solutions for clients.
  • Build solid relationships and liaise with key internal stakeholders to have services provisioned on Digicel's network in a timely manner: VANs Team, Billing Team, MIS Team etc.
  • Monitor competitors' activities. Deploy strategies to maintain edge over other services.

Academic qualifications and experience required for job:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or an equivalent Business discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a Sales or commercial with an understanding of Value Added Service (VAS) role and responsibility for meeting revenue target in mobile telecommunications desired.
