CGM Gallagher has over 40 years experience in developing and administering insurance solutions for Caribbean clients and we are looking to hire a Claims Negotiator for our Property & Casualty department in St. Lucia.
Job Scope:
The candidate’s primary function will be to process clients’ claims by expertly negotiating with Insurance companies for efficient claim settlement; using the Company’s software and affiliated filing systems for updating records and maintaining client’s files.
Major Responsibilities:
Handles the processing of claims, by receiving claims reports and ensuring documents are properly completed.
Responds to telephone calls, emails in the timeline set out within the department.
Provide the P&C department with claims experience data for client’s accounts, by conducting research and preparing reports.
Handles recoveries and brings closure to recovery matters.
Prepare claim status reports, for further analysis by the management team to facilitate judicious matters.
Ensure the safekeeping and filing of documents.
Skills: Knowledge of Underwriting Principles sufficient for processing claims
Knowledge of Vision and or similar software system
Ability to persuade, influence and negotiate
Attentive listening and excellent oral skills
Effective time management abilities
Education: At least 5 C.X.C passes including Mathematics and English
Insurance Diploma; and/ or partial completion of ACII or CIP qualification or equivalent; University Degree is highly desirable.
Experience: At least three (3) years General Insurance experience is required and a proven track record of success in the Claims environment will be desirable.
