Responsible for processing and settling insurance claims promptly and accurately in an efficient workflow, in accordance with company practices and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Settle all valid claims in accordance with the guidelines
- Perform all duties in accordance with the department's service standards
- Verify and analyze data used in settling claims to emsure that claims are valid
- Accurate and timely data entry of claims and claims related information on computer system ensuring that data is concise yet sufficient for the documentation
- Examine and analyze all claims documents to ensure proper evaluation and settlement. Provide recommendation to management.
- Visit vendors to obtain quotation/update price list for parts as required
- Visit producers as required
- Adjust reserves in accordance with claims guidelines
- Obtain and record accurate and complete information through interviews with clients, claimants, experts, employers, providers and other related sources to obtain required information relevant for effective claim assessment and settlement
- Maintain current filing and inventory of claims, subrogation files and follow-ups and detailed anaysis to closure
- Identify problems, develop and avaluate solutions and make recommendations to management
Requirements:
- Diploma in Claims Administration/Claims Adjusting/Investigation or three years expereince in Claims or equivalent combination or working experience and education
- Minimum of five CXC passes including English & Mathematics
- Two A Levels
