Job Summary:

Our client in the financial sector is seeking to fill the position of Chief Operating Officer.

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) reports to the Chief Executive Officer. The incumbent will be responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership to the Operations, Business Development, IT, HR, and Marketing functions.

 

Objectives and Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the day to day operations of the organization
  • Develops and implements a Public Education and Public Awareness campaign
  • Oversees the Information Technology systems of the organization, ensuring seamless operations, connectivity, and resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Prepares and manages budgets
  • Implements business development projects
  • Reviews and recommends additional sources of income generation
  • Develops and executes best practice HR policies and programs
  • Implements operating policies, processes, and procedures and ensures documentation for systems and knowledge transfer.

 

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or an equivalent professional qualification
  • 10 years’ experience at a Senior Management Level
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Familiarity with IT Systems
  • Experience in managing operations relative to financial services
  • Sound knowledge of Capital Markets
  • Working knowledge of the relevant laws and regulations of Trinidad and Tobago as they relate to securities environment.
