Chief Executive Officer
at the Grenada Industrial Development Corporation
JOB SUMMARY:
Lead the Corporation's mission of contributing to economic growth by developing and implementing strategies to improve the image and competitiveness of Grenada as an investment location.
Provide values-based, results-driven leadership for all the Strategic Business Units (SBUs).
Perform strategic, operational and monitoring functions to achieve long term success and legal compliance, in collaboration with the Board of Directors.
Serve as collaborative leader to encourage relevant government agencies, state-owned-enterprises, private sector, development partners and other stakeholders to work together to achieve GIDC’s vision and mission.
Act as principal public representative and spokesman for the Corporation.
PREFERRED CANDIDATE PROFILE:
The ideal candidate should have a significant record of achievement and be energetic, innovative and effective when operating with the business community, the media, government officials, and the Board of Directors. The ideal candidate must be a skilled communicator, possess strong analytical abilities, a working knowledge of marketing techniques, and an ability to forge strategic partnerships.
Experience: Minimum ten (10) years’ experience as a Chief Executive Officer in the private sector regionally or internationally. Experience in Investment Promotion, Entrepreneurial Development and past employment in the public sector, especially in policy direction and advocacy, will be an asset.
Education: MBA specializing in Strategic Management or Finance or Marketing or postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline.
Technology: Experience using a range of productivity and collaboration software, as well as Microsoft Office suite.
Competences: Project management; organizational reform; financial planning and budgeting; networking; governance; public relations skills; change management; leadership development; team building.
