Centre Coordinator
Sector/Industry: Special Purpose State Agency
Location: Port of Spain
This position reports to the Regional Development Manager. He/She will be responsible for:
- the overall development and supervision of a viable portfolio of loans at the Centre that is consistent with the goals of the organization;
- the promotion and development of employees to ensure that goals are met through efficient and effective operations.
Responsibilities and Main Functions:
Centre Supervision and Development:
- Responsible for the development of Centre budget and controlling costs within the budget
- Provide Centre reports on loan productivity, portfolio quality, collections, costs and operational issues, etc to Regional Development Manager for discussion
- Facilitate staff meetings to include: problems analysis, recommendations on policy and procedures, operational issues and new ideas for doing work better and more efficiently
- Supervise administrative and accounting activities
- Develop and implement individual plans for employees and administer Centre performance appraisals
- Control and supervise staff activities
Business Development:
- Lead marketing and business development programmes of the organization at the Centre level
Loan Portfolio:
- Coordinate loan origination activities with Regional Development Manager
- Originate loans together with loan officers
- Manage loan portfolio
- Review and approve loan applications within authorized approval limits
- Coordinate Centre delinquency control programme
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- At least three CAPE/GCE ‘A’ level passes
- University Degree in Business, Accounting, Economics or related field
- Minimum five years’ experience as a loan officer in a financial institution at a supervisory level performing credit analysis for small business

- Knowledge of the loan appraisal process, policies and standards
- Knowledge of the local business environment and trends, seasons

Remuneration:
- Monthly Salary: $9,500 - $11,000
- Travel Allowance: $1,600 per month
- Cell Phone Allowance: $300 per month
