Caribbean Microfinance Limited (MICROFIN) is a private sector company that was established in 1999 as a subsidiary of the Development Finance Limited Group which has been in existence since 1970. However it now has its own Holding Company – Microfin Caribbean Holdings Limited (MCHL). Currently there are operations in St Lucia, Grenada and Trinidad and Tobago. 

Our operation focuses on specialized enterprise development in the Caribbean with our vision to become the premier commercial micro-credit provider in the Caribbean with profitability, sustainability and first class services to our customers.

We provide loan financing and business services to local communities of micro and small entrepreneurs who pursue profitable business initiatives on a permanent basis and sustain themselves as responsible citizens. 

Microfin operates as a profit making organization and will finance viable business operations in all sectors of the economy ensuring at all times that the businesses financed operate within the law.  Every effort will be made to provide access to financing to the largest possible number of micro enterprises so as to maximize the returns to our organization.

Microfin’s main objectives are to meet the demand for business loans from micro entrepreneurs in the most efficient manner, to operate as a profitable and sustainable organization and to help promote economic development by improving the standard of living and overall wealth of our micro and small entrepreneurs.
