Cargo Agent

The Cargo Agent is responsible for Coordination amongst Agents and Supervisors, in the execution of their duties while ensuring that the Company’s and/or Airline Customer’s policies and standards are met.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Read and process manifests, flight schedules, Airway Bills, and any other shipping documents to determine items to be broken down, moved, gathered, palletized, containerized, part shipped, transshipped. Will alos be responsible for Tallying, Cashing, and providing Customer Service. 

• Read and process manifests, flight schedules, airway bills and any other shipping documents that relates to import
• Responsible for loading, Off loading cargo, sorting freight containers, coordinating all transit shipments both inbound, and outbound on timely basis
• Communicating with shippers an Airline Customers
• Check and tally and house cargo for proper piece count, weight, and documents as appropriate.
• Report all interferences or tampering of freight /or observations of interferences or possible tampering of fright.
• Making correct and timely declarations to the various government authorities, e.g. customs, port health etc.
• Ensure that cargo is loaded and unloaded on a timely basis.
• Communicate effectively with employees and all customers, shippers and all airline customers
• Work as a team player to ensure high quality service and efficient operation
• Perform related duties as required

Requirements

• Cargo Training and experience will be an Asset
• Must be Mature, Articulate, Ambitious and Thorough
• Wiling to go beyond the call of Duty from time to time
• Willing to work Shifts in a 24 hours industry
