Sagicor Bank Jamaica Limited is seeking to identify a suitable candidate to join our Sales Initiatives Unit in the capacity of

Card Ambassador (Contract)

The selected candidate will be required to support the Bank’s overall growth plan and contribute to its success by soliciting and acquiring new clients, with emphasis on  a stated target market of progressive minded people - young entrepreneurs, business owners and professionals, as well as Small Businesses.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Present and sell company credit card products to current and potential clients
• Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made
• Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity
• Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned
• Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts
• Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge
• Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships
• Identify and resolve client concerns
• Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals
• Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff
• Participate in marketing activities

Academic Qualifications/Specialized Skills/Competencies:

• Bachelor’s Degree in an area such as Marketing, Banking & Finance, Management Studies, or equivalent qualifications, from a recognized tertiary institution
• Minimum of two (2) years work experience in a similar capacity
• Strong sales acumen and focus
• Strong presentation skills
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with others
• Strong client-service orientation
• Driver's license and access to a reliable motor vehicle preferred
