CUSTOMS SHIPPING CLERK
Angostura Limited, Award Winning Rum and Bitters Producer, invites applications for a vacancy: Customs Shipping Clerk.
SCOPE:
Reporting to the Supervisor Shipping, the incumbent will be responsible for expediting the dispatch of all AL and TDL customer orders (Bulk and Cased goods), accurately and efficiently; ensuring delivery within the requested time frame.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE INTERNAL AUDITOR:
Examine orders to ensure information and instructions are correct with regard to each order received.
Prepare and approves C82, invoices, and certificates of origin to be submitted to customs for processing prior to export.
Request with agents and haulers to book empty container, obtain vessel information and date of export.
Arrange with agents a date to collect or deliver LCL shipments.
Booking of Airfreight shipments.
Prepare Bill of Ladings, Dangerous Goods certificates to be sent to agents to comply with International IMO regulations.
Liaise with warehouse staff to expedite orders. E.g Rotations etc
Prepare load lists and assign seals and deliver to warehouses
Request Certificates of Analysis from the Laboratory where required.
Prepare and print lockers orders and permit to accompany C82 after received from Customs House to be release by In House Customs Officer prior to dispatch of containers.
Schedule with haulers the movement of containers from compound.
Prepare documents for weekly Ex-Bond shipments and make arrangements for delivery.
Prepare documents for Embassies and Ship Stores.
Schedule delivery to Ex-Bond shops with truckers.
Ensuring all documents are submitted to security, customs officer and warehouse keeper before shipments leaves the compound.
Complete shipping documents and deliver to Customer Service Representative to scan and courier documents to customer.
Prepare voucher requisitions for approval of freight, THC, LAC, trucking company, Insurance Company, contractors, etc.
Prepare weekly Loading Export schedule for all shipments leaving following week.
Receive, review and approves shipping documents, obtains packing lists from warehouse, confirms description of goods, ensure that information is complete prior to filing.
Tracking of containers on internet to verify container delivery at port of destination.
Any other duties as determined by Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum Three (3) Years’ Experience
Customs Clerk License- minimum Grade II
Experience in ASIS, CEBIS, ASYCUDA, NAVIS and SAP
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
Knowledge of the Laws of Trinidad and Tobago with reference to Trade, and Customs & Excise Regulations
Knowledge of IMO and IATA regulations regarding the transport of Dangerous Goods.
