DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees the development of new distance learning programmes in an incubator environment;
Liaises with institutions such as the Ministry of Tertiary Education and Skills Training (MTEST), Distance Learning Secretariat and UTT’s The Learning Centre (TLC) to plan workflows and workshops in Distance Education;
Proposes and ensures University admissions processes are adhered to, including support for Assessment of prior learning;
Performs periodic review and ensures the Programme approval process is carried out;
Serves as a member of associations or groups relating to distance programmes;
Promotes the incubator to specific graduate groups and the general student body and develops and incubator plan for all newcomers in the programme;
Screens proposals for new distance learning programmes and provides pre-incubation and recruitment support for the incubator;
Develops strategies to acquire appropriate equipment to support the incubator including procurement, industry and entrepreneurial partnerships and any short term measures;
Establishes a network of mentors for the Distance Learning Programmes incubator;
Provides timely and periodic status reports;
Undertakes projects and performs other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
Minimum of seven (7) years relevant work experience inclusive of four (4) years supervisory experience

Critical interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
Project management skills
Effective decision making, analytical & problem solving skills
Knowledge of research methodologies & conducting research/surveys
