CHIEF HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER
The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) oversees all HR management and industrial relations operations in the organization and provides strategic direction for HR functions.
Key responsibilities include strategic HR management; improving culture through organizational development; HR policy review; ownership of HR processes; reviewing and maintaining an effective communication cycle; quality control, monitoring, audit and continuous improvement of HR processes.
The CHRO plans, directs and manages:
Recruiting, training and professional development programs.
Compensation and awards/discipline programs.
Performance management system.
Benefits administration.
Succession plan.
Employee relations/ Employee welfare / Industrial relations.
Employee orientation program.
Integration of HR and technological applications/solutions.
Suitable candidate must have a great appreciation for the link between employee performance and corporate performance. He/she must have profound experience in practical HR processes and knowledge and experience in strategic HR leadership; must be able to perform in a dynamic environment with a large, complex workforce.
Requirements
Postgraduate qualification in HR Management, Business Administration or equivalent.
Must have a minimum of ten (10) years working experience in Human Resources with at least five (5) years at managerial level.
Working knowledge and experience with HRIS applications.
Compensation package is commensurate with knowledge, skills and experience.
