Job Summary
The Chief Executive Officer is required to provide astute leadership with a clear vision for the modernization of the seafood industry and to ensure that the quality of the work and functioning of the Company meets sound business and ethical standards. The Chief Executive Officer is required to provide advice and guidance on strategic planning, project development, preparation and implementation, business planning, finance and human resource development and management.

• Provides astute leadership and a clear vision for the SIDC
• Makes sound decisions on behalf of the Company for the long term development of the seafood and aquaculture industries
• Provides sound leadership and direction for the long-term development of the seafood and aquaculture industries
• Ensures public relations are handled in a courteous and professional manner
• Provides a strong voice for the Trinidad and Tobago seafood and aquaculture industries
• Ensures that the quality of work and functioning of the Company meets sound business and ethical standards
• Provides guidance on strategic planning, project development, implementation and monitoring; business planning; finance and human resources development and management.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Qualification and Experience for this position
• Post Graduate degree in a Management field from an accredited educational institution
• Bachelor’s Degree in Agri-Business, or related discipline from an accredited educational institution
• At least ten (10) years’ business development experience in the seafood industry will be an asset
• Experience in leading organizations and/or multi-disciplinary teams in relevant sectors
• Demonstrated experience in the areas of strategic planning and execution, change management, organizational transformation and business development activities

• Must be able to use critical thinking to effectively solve problems
• Must have experience in effectively executing business plans and strategies
• Knowledge of policy formulation procedures
