The successful candidate will receive cash and/or cheques from the public at a cashier’s window; count, verify.

The HR Division invites suitably qualified persons to apply for the following vacant position in the in the Finance and Administration Division:

CASHIER

The Job: 

The successful candidate will:

• receive cash and/or cheques from the public at a cashier’s window;
• count, verify and determine the accuracy of payments made and issue receipts for amounts received;
• compute and record daily balance sheets to show the total amounts of cash and cheques received or cash paid out;
• balance cash and other stocks in possession at the end of the day;
• file receipts and invoices;
• prepare cash reconciliation reports daily.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate must have:

• a minimum of five (5) GCE/CXC O’Level subjects, including Mathematics and English Language. Completion of level I CAT is an asset.
• at least two (2) years’ experience in a sales environment.
• proficiency in Microsoft Office suite;
• strong numerical and data entry skills;
• excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
