CASHIER
JOB SUMMARY
Cashiers are responsible for the cashing out of items for the customers via our Point Of Sale system. This includes providing the best customer service to customers, before, during and after all transactions.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
- Start work promptly as rostered.
- Maintain a proper dresscode and pleasant personality as well as good personal hygiene at all times.
- Fast and accurate checkout of customer items.
- Balance cash daily with register records.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Keep accurate records of card transactions, items left behind by customers and paperwork specified by Management.
- Workstation must be maintained and kept clean at all times.
- Perform other duties as specified from time to time by your Supervisor or Management.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- One (1) year of verifiable experience in cashing and customer service.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- The individual must be customer-oriented.
- The individual must at all times be able to work well under pressure.
- He/she must be a team player with positive work ethic and a strong commitment to growth and development.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
GENERAL
1. Hours of work:
Normal work week from Saturday to Friday on a shift basis. However, from time to time you may be required to work longer hours.
2. Customer Relations:
The employee is to communicate courteously and effectively with customers at all levels and make best efforts to assist, so that the Company’s image is always protected and maintained at the highest possible level.
