Business Development Manager
Essential duties and responsibilities
Financial Objectives & Targets:
· To meet Annual Gross Margin Target for the respective incentive periods.
· You will be entitled to participate in the company’s Sales Incentive Plan in force at the time of your employment. This plan is subject to annual reviews.
· Quarterly incentive payments are made one (1) month following the end of each quarter. An overachievement incentive is also available.
Non-Financial Objectives & Targets:
· A quarterly performance review will be conducted no more than two (2) weeks following the completion of each quarter. You will be reviewed based on the following metrics:
· Work Performance, Goals & Objectives
o Sales Achievement – Achievement of monthly GM US$ Targets
o Sales Cycle Management – Prospecting/ Leads Follow Up, Sales Qualification, Quotations/ Proposal Turnover and Follow up, Close/ Win Ratio etc.
o Sales/ Account Planning – Documentation and execution of initiatives and activities to achieve your financial targets
o Account Management/ Customer Service – Commitment to roles and responsibilities of an Account Manager for agreed Strategic/ Key Accounts i.e. Customer strategic account planning, attendance at project status and steering committee meetings, customer advocacy and follow up etc.
o CRM Updates – Up-to-date, accurate and realistic reporting in our system each and every day
o Pipeline Health
o Learning & Training Ramp Up – Completion of agreed training and achievement of required certifications i.e. Infotech Overview Presentation, Microsoft Solution Selling, Microsoft Licensing, MS Dynamics Solutions, McAfee Sales & Professional Advocate, CA BrightStor etc.
o Quality of Work – Documentation (internal & external), communication etc.
o Effective User of Technology - MS Office Suite…Word, Excel & Power Point, MS Outlook, MS One Note & MS CRM Systems
o Commitment to Service Principles 101
o Work Habits, Attitude & Disposition e.g. Effective use of initiative and judgment, solution oriented, people/ quality/ profit focus etc.
o Job Performance Indicators e.g. Time management, interpersonal skills, leadership, communication abilities etc.
· Your performance and progress will also be reviewed during fortnightly 1:1 coaching sessions, where feedback and guidance will be given on your actual performance to date versus agreed targets and objectives, areas of improvement and support required, training and learning ramp up, certification schedules and other commitments. These meetings and ensuing communication will also form part of your ongoing performance reviews.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree with preference given to candidates with a 1st degree in Management or Business Studies. An MBA or Masters Degree in Management will be an asset
· 3+ Years hands-on sales experience with preference given to candidates with either IT sales experience or sales experience in the services industry.
· High preference will be given to candidates with a proven sales and account management track record in achieving financial and non-financials targets.

o Preference will be given to candidates with experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System
o Ability to travel and handle key customer accounts across the Caribbean Region.
