Sagicor Investments Jamaica is looking for the ideal candidates to join our team in the capacity of:
Business Development Advisor (Central Region)
The selected candidate, who will be stationed at our Mandeville branch, will be responsible for growing the client base of the Region by strategically identifying target markets and industry groups and actively promoting the products and services of the company to these groups in order to meet the defined goals and support the strategic direction of the company
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meet goals and targets for market share & growth
- Advise potential investors of the company’s products and services, negotiate investment terms and initiate relevant documentation for opening accounts in accordance with the company’s guidelines
- Target new corporate & retail clients by cold calling, networking or through an introductory basis established by the Marketing Department or any other means
- Work closely with the teams in the branches and across business lines, to develop and implement appropriate strategies for growth by selecting, segmenting and targeting markets, and promoting products and services to those markets
- Conduct presentations to prospective client groups, and prepare for and attend exhibits, conferences, meetings and other local & regional promotional opportunities
- Conduct periodic reviews with clients
- Conduct surveys of competitors and determine appropriate competitive strategies
- Ensure Client Service is delivered at the highest standards
Academic Qualifications/Specialized Skills/Competencies:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized tertiary level institution
- At least three (3) years of experience in the financial services industry
- Jamaican Securities Certificate
- Strong selling & negotiating skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Sound understanding of financial sector instrument and the regulatory environment
- Excellent public speaking and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Ability to understand and deal with clients’ individual needs and requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards
- High level of enthusiasm
- A valid Driver's License and access to a reliable motor vehicle would be an asset
