The Brand/Sales Champion focuses on the brand to increase its popularity among target consumers, while also gaining market share. The Brand/Sales Champion is expected to assist Sales Representatives to close their Sales as well as meeting their own sales and revenue targets by acquiring clients themselves.
Responsibilities:
- Develop key accounts
- Meet and Exceed Sales and Revenue Targets set by the company
- Develop, implement and monitor and execute Marketing Plans, inclusive of Sales, Advertising & Promotional Budgets
- Develop Key Account Plans in conjunction with Channel and Sales Management.
- Set and achieve distribution volume, sales and profit objectives and plans by brand with regular reports on achievement
- Knowledge transfer to Sales Reps, Vendors and Customers on brand’s products.
- Develop and maintain a close relationship with brand/Vendor principals, keeping them current on product performance and market trends.
- Perform market and competitor audits on assigned product portfolio
- Work closely with Sales to identify opportunities to expand the business in existing channels of trade.
- Ensure accurate and timely forecasting, develop monthly updates, and provide analysis and recommendations when sales vary from forecast.
- Interface on a consistent basis with Sales, Finance, and Operations to rapidly identify problems/opportunities and take appropriate action as warranted.
- Be primary point of contact with overseas suppliers.
- Interface with Senior Management / Executives.
- Represent brand at trade functions and consumer events.
- Leverage knowledge of business, category and brand marketing strategy into actionable marketing strategies and plans to deliver against the company’s business objectives.
- Ongoing competitive positioning reporting.
- Develop and implement brand review process to ensure alignment across all areas of the Organisation on Brand Standards and Expression
- Manage brand launches and customer events
- Lead insight gathering research into consumers and competitive category to secure knowledge that can be utilized to enhance and evolve the brand.
- Be the most knowledgeable resource in the company as it relates to the brands and champion the brand throughout the organization, with partners and external agencies.
- Follow brand guidelines to ensure all vendors regulations are followed.
Requirements:
- The successful applicant:
- Have at least 2 – 3 years of proven Brand Management/Sales experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Management or Marketing or Business
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
- Adobe CS 5.5 would be an asset
- Ability and willingness to travel
