Branch Optometrist

The successful candidate will be required to recommend lens materials and options in accordance with the needs of the patient.

A leading international retail group with operations in the Caribbean, Latin America and the United States, is inviting applications for the position of BRANCH OPTOMETRIST for its Unicomer Belize operations. 

Required Education:

• A Graduate/Post Graduate degree in Optometry from a school accredited by the National Accreditation Council or otherwise recognized in Belize.
• A minimum of three (3) years experience in a similar capacity.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Conduct eye exams to provide correct diagnosis.
• Proficient in the use of optical diagnostic devices.
• Familiarity with local medical insurance programs is an asset.
• Assist patients with lens and frame selection.
• Monitor status of jobs in progress.
• Strong customer service focus.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
