Big Banana Holding Co. Ltd, has, over a period of twenty one years, established itself as an entity that fulfils its mission - to provide tasty food, at great value in an atmosphere for every mood. This is what the three sibling owners of Big Banana continue to strive for in our three restaurants: Big Banana Pizzas, Big Banana 17°61° (Airport Branch) and " the beach" restaurant.

The owners take great pride in handpicking a friendly, courteous staff always ready to deliver a great dining experience in either location. It was a long time coming but the new Big Banana, Pizzas in Paradise on Lower Redcliffe Street in St. John’s, Antigua, is a testament to the hard work and dedication shown over the past 21 years by not only Jeff, Bernadette and Eddie but especially by the team that work with them.

The Beginning

Back in 1987, after working behind the bar at a newly opened Pizzas in Paradise, in St John's for a couple of years, Jeff - along with his brother and sister Eddie and Bernadette - purchased the business from the original owners. With only a couple of items on the menu and pizza being very new to Antigua, it was a risk but one that has paid off. In 1994 they won the bid to operate the restaurant at the airport, which after renovations opened in the November of 1995. Then in June 1999, they took over Spinnakers Restaurant on Dickenson Bay, undertook major renovations and 6 months later open as The Beach - the rest is history as they say!
