Under the direction of the Operations Support Manager, plans, coordinates and manages the operations and maintenance of the Galeota Facility

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

 The Facilities Manager is responsible for:

  • Ensures that the building premises, infrastructural and equipment are properly maintained through the management of employees, suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Develop and maintain annual Planned Preventive Maintenance schedules for all equipment and the building infrastructure
  • Respond to maintenance demands for all infrastructural, equipment and building infrastructure
  • Coordinate the overall planning and decision-making for maintaining the safety, utility, and appearance of the facility
  • Ensure that all uses of the facility conforms to STS site standards
  • Prepare work orders and/or coordinate and supervise the work of outside contractors and vendors for crafts, such as carpentry, plumbing, heating, ventilating, electrical, air conditioning, auto mechanic, and inspect for completion of assignment
  • Act as liaison to security, burglar, fire alarm service, pest control service, and other providers
  • Maintain a building keying system and master keying record of all keys issued to and retrieved from employees
  • Ensure compliance with the Company’s Health & Safety policy as well as the Health, Safety, Security and Environmental policies of the client
  • Preparation and submission of weekly reports on site operations or other reports as needed by Line Managers
  • Management of support staff assigned to the facility.

Emergency Response Duties

  • As required
  • Ensure 24 hours response to site by self or representative.

 Minimum Qualifications/Experience on Recruitment

  • At least three (3) years’ experience in Facilities Operations/Management, Building Operations/Management or Property Management
  • Formal qualifications in Facilities Management, Property Management or Building Operations Management.
  • NEBOSH Certificate or Health and Safety Certification as equivalent would be an asset.
  • Experience in Industrial type operations (Fab shop, Process Plant, Oil and Gas, Manufacturing etc.)
  • Knowledge of methods, practices, equipment, and supplies used in facility maintenance, building, and safety regulations.
  • Project Management and Supervisory skills
  • Problem Solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Work independently and meet schedules and timelines
  • Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
