A Company is looking for someone to fill the role of Bar Manager to manage its operations and staff creating a vibrant atmosphere through seamless service.  The incumbent will be responsible for the operations, employees, inventory, customer service and health and safety requirements of the establishment.

 

 

MAIN DUTIES:

  • Develop strategies that will contribute to the achievement of margins at targeted levels.
  • Maintain low wastage levels through good stock management and rotation
  • Manage bar employees to ensure staff is equipped to meet and exceed all customer requests and respond positively to complaints.
  • To analyse daily/weekly/monthly beverage sales identifying opportunities for increasing profitability and maximising revenue
  • Managing till operation and ensure staff conform with cash processing policy and procedures.
  • Prepare daily / weekly reports as required.
  • Regularly create cocktail & bar food menus that are new and inspiring.
  • Regularly conduct research on the local market and develop and implement ideas to
  • maximise revenue generation.
  • Liaise with the Marketing team to develop and implement marketing initiatives for the bar
  • Foster an environment where improvements to products, processes and service are welcomed and encouraged
  • Coordinate and control all aspects of stock deliveries and keep accurate and up to date records.
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with all customers and handle complaints, requests and enquiries.
  • Take responsibility for monitoring and reporting any health and safety issues to the appropriate persons.
  • Operate safe practices, act as a role model and provide guidance to staff to ensure that products and services are prepared and offered in accordance with safety and health requirements.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management
  • 5 years experience as a Food & Beverage Manager or Bar Manager
  • Must demonstrate excellent F&B knowledge with particular interest in Wine, Spirits and Liqueurs.
  • Wine and Spirits certificates are assets
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player attitude
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and problem solving abilities
  • Must be highly responsible & reliable and able to positively motivate team members
  • Work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to focus attention on customer needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
