BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER – PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION UNIT

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participates in the design, scheduling and coordination of all global/ local training programs and devises a comprehensive curriculum of global continuing education programs and teaching methods to support UTT’s objectives

  • Assists in the calculation(s) of the return on investment for each course; recommends future courses and facilitators based upon results and prepares related reports

  • Facilitates the completion of all pre- and post-course action items (accreditations, speaker contacts, and agreement letters)
  • Assists in the development, design, and printing of the biannual Continuing Education (CE) calendar

  • Conducts research on competing CE from institutions/organisations and liaises with industry advisors, product management and marketing to develop relationships with a network of speakers and create new technology to attract customers;

  • Liaises with Field Force to target key universities, develop relations and CE courses;

  • Recommends comprehensive support material for developing university sales, educational opportunities, etc.;

  • Oversees off-site training programs, meets with instructors, and attends trade shows, as required;
  • Participates in the identification of industrial champions to represent at sponsored courses on new knowledge product lines;
  • Performs other related duties as requested.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration,  Communications, Management or related discipline
  • Minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience

COMPETENCIES

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills

  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite of programs

  • Knowledge of research methodologies

  • Knowledge of promotions and marketing techniques

  • Analytical and problem solving skills
