BODY SHOP SERVICE ADVISOR VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

 

TJAM seeks an experienced customer service professional with prior collision repairs experience in estimating to fill an immediate opening at our Spanish Town Rd. branch location:

This position carries the following key responsibilities (not all inclusive):  

  • Conducts inspections and examination of vehicular body damage to ascertain nature and extent of repairs; develops estimates by costing parts, supplies and labour; reviewing damage estimates with insurance representatives where necessary; resolving repair and replacement requirements;  
  • Prepares repair orders (ROs) by describing repair and replacement services required; obtaining authorizations for effecting repairs; tracking repair order progress to ensure that work is completed to manufacturer’s standard and in a timely manner;
  • Serving as TJAM’s principal point of contact with customer regarding collision repairs – explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers, answering questions and concerns etc.
  • Enhances TJAM’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Championing TJAM’s “Customer First” and “Lifelong Learning “philosophy by example  
 
 
 
 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Five years’ experience in automotive service writing;
  • Demonstrable general knowledge in collision repairs (3-5 years’ experience in estimating);
  • Accuracy, attentive to detail and able to multi-task;
  • Top flight communications/interpersonal and critical thinking skills;
  • Computer literate and dynamic, with good interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure [must be friendly];
  • Excellent communicator, solution oriented and negotiator with an aggressive approach to resolving problems & achieving objectives;
  • Deadline-oriented, flexible with change and committed to excellence;
